    I Miss Xanga

So there's a lot going on - My last day of work is June 30th.  Also my husband is deploying to the sandbox in December which means he'll be leaving in October for training.  It also means that for the first time in my life, I'm going to be on my own.  It's all very scary and overwhelming.

I'm trying to eat healthy with practically zero success and all I want right now is an ice cream.
I'm still in school and I'm feeling oddly apathetic which is completely not okay.

    What's new with you?

    Tap, tap. Anyone out there?

    I'm back!

We've moved.  As of this past weekend we no longer live in the ghetto.  No more raccoon sex in the attic, no more Harley Davidson bands who can't get real gigs, no more loud neighbors threatening us with grievous bodily injury when we tell them to shut it at 5:30 on Sunday mornings.

    It's all very exciting.

We now have a larger apartment in an older, quiet apartment building.  There are lots of little old people here which thrills our souls since we are really 60 year olds hidden inside 20-something bodies.  We're almost unpacked and today I began hanging artwork.  Instead of one bed/one bath we now have a two bed/two bath which means we have an office.  We bought our first furniture (everything we had until now was given to us at the time of the wedding) and IKEA owes us a debt of gratitude.  I can't wait to get everything finished and decorated.  It's all very exciting.

Keith is in ALS or Airman Leadership School, a very intense five week military management course that he has to complete in order to sew on his next rank which he'll be putting on in May.  We're both going strong in regular college but thoroughly enjoying Spring Break.

    How are you?

  • Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh I know I'm a tad late, but we were having so much fun last week with Josh & Shannon & Isabella that I didn't think to blog.  They had a very eventful week, one where they almost died but that should be their story to tell, not mine.  Just wanted to say hi, tell everyone it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  For pictures of our week, visit Shannon's blog.

  • Weigh-In

Well, today is Saturday.  We know what that means - Weight Watchers day.  I went to my meeting this morning.  I still lost (which is what I keep trying to remind myself), but it was only .2 pounds.  I'm really disappointed, although I had a really rough week food-wise.  Plus, it's that time of the month, so I was really scared that I would gain.  I didn't gain, I'm still moving in the right direction, and today begins a new food week for me.

So Thanksgiving, here I come.  I can beat you and have a successful week.

  • Happy Hump-Day

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Just thought you'd like an update.  This past week I lost another 2.2 pounds for a total loss of 8.2!  I'm excited about my progress and excited to see this working so well for me.

I have to say I've noticed a change in my attitude.  I seem to take more care with my appearance before.  For example, I used to only wear make-up on Sundays.  Lately, I've put it on every morning.  I'm even doing my hair!  It's a little strange for me but I'm enjoying it.  I'm also excited that the end of the semester is rapidly approaching.  Thanksgiving is a week from tomorrow, Christmas in just another month.  Then vacation and I start at UTSA.  Woo hoo!!!  One step closer to graduation.

I'm aware this was completely rambly.  Having trouble organizing my thoughts right now.  Enjoy your hump-day!

I just realized that I never answered your question on http://www.xanga.com/frtnr_mama/675700686/item.html. Sorry. As for B&B's, I've really only dealt with the Chaska House, and that was 9 years ago, but the lady was very kind.

Your posts are worth maybe half a cookie. Maybe. My posts on the other hand are worth at least a whole batch of cookies.
  • friarblues
Hey, I have to be careful of how often I post. One of my posts are worth like 10 kabillion of yours! That's just too much for the ordinary man to take too often!
  • sabrafox
Right. Like you have any room to talk, Mr. I-post-once-a-month-whether-I-need-to-or-not.
